Brazil saw off Colombia’s fightback as they progressed to a World Cup semi-final against Germany thanks to goals from Thiago Silva and David Luiz.
The hosts took an early lead when Neymar’s corner found captain Silva, who guided the ball in with his knee.
Brazil added a second shortly after the hour mark when Luiz struck a brilliant free-kick from long range.
Colombia reduced the deficit when James Rodriguez converted from the penalty spot but Brazil hung on.

57 min: Lovely touch from Rodriguez on the edge of the penalty area controlling a ball with his chest before flicking it to Ramos. The substitute pulls the trigger on the volley, and sends it horribly wide.
56 min: Both sides fighting tooth and nail. For all the chances, Colombia are still goal down.
51 min: Neymar lifts in a free-kick, but it’s come off a Colombian head. The referee didn’t catch it and awards a goal kick. A relief for the Colombians who have looked shaky come set-piece time.
